Evan Shapiro co-founded Mina Protocol (originally Coda Protocol), introducing the world’s lightest blockchain using recursive zk-SNARKs. As CEO and later Chief Product & Strategy Officer, he led Mina’s development into a privacy-focused, zk-native platform. In March 2025, he stepped down from the Mina Foundation, marking a leadership shift as the protocol enters a new phase of decentralization and technical growth.
