Henrik-Hjelte

Henrik Hjelte is the co-founder and CEO of Chromia and its parent company ChromaWay, established in 2014. A Swedish software developer with a background in economics, he was an early pioneer of blockchain technology, having worked on the colored coins project on Bitcoin.

He launched Chromia in 2018 as a relational blockchain platform designed for scalable, data-heavy decentralized apps. Hjelte advocates for user empowerment through “publicly hosted applications” and innovations like RELL, a smart contract language. His recent focus includes Chromia’s mainnet launch, gas-free UX, and Ethereum interoperability.
