Jae-Kwon

Jae Kwon is the founder of Tendermint and co-founder of the Cosmos Hub (ATOM) token. He developed the Tendermint consensus engine in 2014 and co-launched Cosmos in 2015 to create an interoperable blockchain network. After serving as CEO of Tendermint, he stepped down in 2020 but returned later with a new entity, NewTendermint. Kwon remains active in the Cosmos ecosystem, recently opposing governance changes and proposing a fork called AtomOne. He’s known for his strong views on decentralization, security, and protocol integrity.
