Michael Cahill is the founder and CEO of Douro Labs and a core contributor to the Pyth Network. With a strong background in traditional finance—having worked at Morgan Stanley, Nomura, and Cboe—he transitioned into crypto through Jump Crypto before launching Douro Labs in 2023. He also serves as a director at the Pyth Data Association, helping shape the network’s decentralized oracle infrastructure.

Under his leadership, Pyth has become one of the leading oracle networks, providing real-time, high-quality market data to over 50 blockchain ecosystems. Cahill emphasizes first-party data sourcing from institutions like Binance and Jane Street and promotes a unique “pull” oracle model for better efficiency. His goal is to democratize access to institutional-grade financial data and power the next generation of DeFi applications.
