Aethir Prepares for Major Tokenomics Shift With Tokenomics 1.5

Aethir, the decentralized GPU cloud network, has entered a temporary transition period ahead of a major overhaul of its reward structure for Edge device operators. As of today, Aethir has reverted to Tokenomics 1.0, offering approximately 21 ATH per day per device, down from the fixed 100 ATH under the now-completed Tokenomics 1.5 phase.

This one-month bridge period will last until July 12, 2025, setting the stage for the release of Tokenomics 2.0 on July 13 — a new staking-based rewards model that the team describes as “sustainable, scalable, and rewarding.”

From Bootstrapping to Stability

Launched earlier this year, Aethir Edge has grown rapidly, positioning itself as a decentralized GPU infrastructure provider. The Tokenomics 1.5 phase, introduced to supercharge early growth, provided fixed emissions of 100 ATH per device per day. This high-reward model helped bootstrap participation across the globe and resulted in over 800 million ATH tokens being distributed — a figure significantly higher than initially projected in Tokenomics 1.0. The Aethir Foundation supported this surge with a 500 million ATH stipend.

Now, with the network firmly established, Aethir is shifting toward a more sustainable long-term model.

What to Expect: Tokenomics 2.0

Launching July 13, 2025, Tokenomics 2.0 will introduce a tiered bonus system where rewards depend on the amount of ATH staked by each Edge operator. This change marks a transition from fixed emissions to a stake-driven rewards structure, aiming to better align operator incentives with long-term ecosystem health.

• All existing Edge operators will start in the Bronze tier by default.
• Higher tiers offer increased rewards but require additional staking.
