Animoca NUVA Marketplace Launches to Simplify RWA Investment Access

August 8, 2025 — Animoca Brands has launched NUVA, a next-generation marketplace for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. Developed in partnership with ProvLabs, the platform is built on Provenance Blockchain and aims to resolve the current fragmentation in the RWA space.

NUVA Offers Tokenized Yield Products and Home Equity Loans

NUVA launches with two key products from Figure Technologies:

• YLDS: The first SEC-approved, yield-bearing stablecoin security.
• HELOC: A pool of fixed-rate home equity lines of credit.

These products will be offered via vaults, a mechanism that simplifies investor access. Each vault issues liquid tokens, such as nuYLDS and nuHELOC, that represent claims on the underlying RWAs. This structure helps improve liquidity and transparency for traditionally illiquid assets.

“The vault tokens are liquid claims to the yielding real-world assets stored in each vault,” said Anthony Moro, CEO of ProvLabs. “They enable tokenized exposure to assets like YLDS and HELOCs from Figure Technologies, the largest non-bank HELOC issuer in the U.S.”

Solving the RWA Fragmentation Problem

Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, said NUVA was designed to address the fragmented nature of the RWA market.

“RWAs are scattered across different chains and platforms, limiting their reach,” said Siu. “NUVA aims to make institutional-quality assets radically more accessible across a unified, multichain ecosystem.”

The platform is expected to streamline RWA exposure for both retail and institutional investors while aligning with compliance standards.

Growing Institutional Support for Tokenized Assets

Tokenized finance is among the most influential trends of 2025. Institutions such as JPMorgan are exploring the use of tokenized money market funds to replace traditional cash or Treasury-based collateral. This method allows users to preserve yield while participating in decentralized ecosystems.

Meanwhile, regulatory clarity around stablecoins in the U.S. has set the stage for broader adoption of tokenized financial products, including private credit and Treasuries.

“Tokenized deposits and tokenized money market funds could find a significant new opportunity onchain,” said Paul Brody, global blockchain leader at EY.

As NUVA enters the market, it stands at the intersection of institutional finance and DeFi, aiming to bring greater efficiency, liquidity, and inclusivity to the RWA ecosystem.
