Camp Network Raises $30M to Build the Autonomous IP Layer for the AI Era

Camp Network has secured $30 million in funding to accelerate development of its Layer 1 blockchain designed for creators, AI developers, and content rights holders. The round was co-led by 1kx and Blockchain Capital, with support from dao5, Lattice, Maven 11, Hypersphere, OKX Ventures, Protagonist, and others.

The network offers a novel approach to a rising concern: creators losing control of their intellectual property as AI systems scrape and learn from their content — often without consent or attribution. Camp aims to bring enforceable provenance and monetization to the heart of this ecosystem.

“Provenance isn’t a feature anymore — it’s a foundational need,” said Camp Network Co-Founder James Chi. “Camp exists to connect IP and AI at the protocol level.”

Proof of Provenance at the Core

At the heart of Camp’s architecture is its Proof of Provenance protocol, a mechanism that enables onchain registration of intellectual property with traceable attribution, licensing, and rights enforcement.

This allows creators to:

• Register content (text, audio, video, code) with verified origin
• Set usage rights and monetize derivatives
• Deploy and fine-tune AI agents on owned IP
• Receive royalties automatically via gasless distributions
