November 28, 2025 — Centrifuge $CFG Token Migration enters its final phase with just three days left for holders to swap legacy tokens. With 88.73% of legacy CFG already migrated, failure to act by November 30 may result in permanent loss of access.
The Centrifuge $CFG Token Migration gained urgency on November 28 as the project reminded holders that only three days remain to complete their swaps. Nearly 89% of the total supply has already transitioned, reflecting strong adoption of Centrifuge’s move away from Substrate.
Any remaining legacy CFG whether on Polkadot or wrapped as wCFG on Ethereum will become permanently inaccessible after the deadline.
Centrifuge’s migration marks the final step in its shift to a fully Ethereum-based architecture, improving interoperability for real-world asset protocols. The $CFG token now fully powers governance, staking, and liquidity incentives within Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem.
With major RWA initiatives such as Whitelabel and Daylight integrations, synchronized token standards are critical for future upgrades and capital flows.
The migration process is streamlined through the official docs at docs.centrifuge.io, requiring users to connect wallets, verify token balances, and execute the conversion. Both substrate CFG and wCFG are supported.
Centrifuge has released a detailed FAQ and token summary, outlining tokenomics and technical steps to avoid errors. Once the window closes on November 30, legacy CFG becomes unsupported, marking the end of Centrifuge’s Substrate-based infrastructure.
For holders, the migration ensures continued access to governance rights, staking rewards, and RWA opportunities across the new Ethereum-native ecosystem. Failure to migrate will permanently lock tokens on the deprecated chain.
