Coinbase to List PancakeSwap, Subsquid, and Fartcoin Today

Coinbase will list three new altcoins – PancakeSwap (CAKE), Subsquid (SQD), and Fartcoin on its retail and institutional platforms today at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM ET / 16:00 UTC). The listings are expected to drive fresh volatility across the tokens, all of which have already rallied since the announcement.

Three Very Different Tokens

Though the assets differ in category – DEX utility, Web3 AI infrastructure, and meme coin, they all reacted positively to the news:

• Fartcoin (FARTCOIN): The Solana-based meme coin jumped around 10% in the past 24 hours, trading at $1.41 with a $1.4 billion market cap and $351 million in daily volume. Fartcoin became widely known in late 2024 after AI influencer Truth Terminal spotlighted it alongside other meme assets. It saw another breakout in April 2025, gaining nearly 100% in a single week. Fartcoin now ranks as the second-largest memecoin, behind only the Trump token.
• Subsquid (SQD): The data-layer token powering an open database network for AI agents hit a new all-time high after the listing announcement. SQD has gained traction among Web3 AI developers and saw heightened investor interest following its addition to Coinbase’s roadmap earlier this week. It was trading at $0.27 as of press time.
• PancakeSwap (CAKE): The native token of the leading BNB Chain DEX has seen mixed recent performance. While trading volume on PancakeSwap hit record levels in May, the token lagged behind activity growth. The Coinbase listing gave CAKE a mild boost. As of this morning, it was trading at $2.49.

Market Reaction and What Comes Next

The announcement of the listings earlier this week immediately sparked price gains, particularly for Fartcoin and SQD, both of which were added to Coinbase’s roadmap just days ago. Now that the listing is confirmed and imminent, short-term volatility is expected.

Listings on Coinbase are known to cause price spikes followed by sharp corrections. This is especially true for smaller or meme-based tokens, where liquidity is thinner and sentiment-driven trades dominate. Traders should prepare for higher-than-usual volume and rapid price swings around the time trading opens.

Coinbase has stated that trading for all three tokens will begin once liquidity conditions are met. Pairs will include FARTCOIN-USD, CAKE-USD, and SQD-USD, and availability will depend on jurisdiction.
