October 17, 2025 – The Kaspa DAGKNIGHT upgrade is nearing deployment, according to new hints from the project’s official community channels. A teaser post on X featuring the message “.soon” ignited speculation that both DAGKNIGHT and vProgs verifiable programs could roll out within the next nine months, potentially accelerating Kaspa’s roadmap toward scalable, decentralized finance applications.
The DAGKNIGHT upgrade represents a major evolution of Kaspa’s existing GHOSTDAG protocol. It introduces a parameterless adaptive consensus that adjusts to network conditions without predefined limits, eliminating latency issues while retaining 50% Byzantine fault tolerance.
This change allows Kaspa to confirm transactions faster and handle higher throughput without sacrificing proof-of-work integrity.
According to Kaspa’s July 2025 developer notes, DAGKNIGHT is part of a bundled hardfork alongside ZK bridge integration for Layer-1 to Layer-2 interoperability a move designed to enhance miner reward stability and enable smart contract-like behavior.
Alongside DAGKNIGHT, the vProgs upgrade introduces a built-in zero-knowledge computation layer, enabling atomic operations across decentralized applications (dApps).
Unlike traditional Layer-2 rollups, vProgs executes lending, staking, and swaps in a single synchronous transaction without bridging risks or liquidity fragmentation.
Developers estimate that with vProgs and DAGKNIGHT combined, Kaspa could scale beyond 30,000 transactions per second (TPS), bringing composability and privacy directly to Layer 1.

The upcoming hardfork also includes experimental modules such as reverse MEV auctions, where miners compete by offering rebates to users — reversing traditional extraction models.
Meanwhile, oracle voting introduces decentralized data feeds directly into consensus, ensuring real-time, tamper-proof data inputs for DeFi applications.
These enhancements are expected to strengthen Kaspa’s position as the most scalable proof-of-work blockchain while expanding into decentralized finance and asset tokenization.
As of today, Kaspa (KAS) trades near $0.053, holding steady amid broader crypto volatility. The announcement has energized the Kaspa community, with contributors emphasizing that the rollout speed depends on “developer power,” implying faster delivery with broader open-source participation.
Market analysts view the upcoming upgrades as transformative, potentially pushing Kaspa into the top tier of blockchains by 2026 due to its unique blend of speed, security, and decentralization.

@kaspaunchained DAGKNIGHT + vProgs = serious upgrade. Faster consensus, more flexibility, curious how this scales in real-world use. Big milestone coming 💪
@kaspaunchained Within 3 months??? 🤔
@kaspaunchained So what does that mean what are we waiting for better price ? New exchange accept kaspa ?
