Amid rising concerns over influence, representation, and transparency, a prominent Kaspa-related account on X (formerly Twitter) has announced a major shift in how it will operate moving forward.
The account, which many in the community previously assumed to be an official voice of Kaspa, clarified that it will no longer speak on behalf of the project. The decision comes in response to feedback highlighting four key concerns:
“We didn’t ask for this responsibility,” the account stated in a post, “but we took time to think it through.”
Going forward, the account will transition into a private, community-oriented profile. It will not speak on behalf of Kaspa and will focus on reposting ecosystem updates, core development news, and amplifying a wider range of community voices.
The team behind the account said it will undergo a name and identity change to reflect its new status. Its broad reach within the Kaspa ecosystem, however, will still be leveraged to grow awareness and support emerging contributors.
To avoid centralization of influence, the account’s future content strategy is still being debated. Options include rotating curators, a community nomination system, or other decentralized approaches to highlight key updates and news without becoming a central authority again.
“Nothing is set in stone yet,” the post read. “Better ideas are welcome.”
The message closed with a clear reaffirmation of Kaspa’s decentralized ethos:
“Kaspa has no spokesperson; its voice is yours.”
The announcement follows days of internal debate and external FUD regarding the project’s communication practices and perceived hierarchies.
Kaspa, known for its unique blockDAG architecture and rapid transaction speeds, continues to grow a passionate community of users and developers. This latest change suggests an ongoing effort to balance that growth with the decentralized values at the heart of the project.
Kaspa has one of the most vocal and supportive (and unfortunately sometimes the most blind) communities in crypto and they were very supportive of the post. Some were even relieved that an $AZERO like situation seemed to be preveneted.
Real voices. Real reactions.
