November 27, 2025 — Monad Successfully Releases Airdropped MON Tokens from Escrow as part of the Monad Airdrop Release process, aligning distribution with mainnet readiness and reinforcing its community-driven launch strategy. The Monad Airdrop Release delivers 3.33 billion MON tokens to 76,021 wallets following a structured escrow unlock, marking a major milestone for the high-performance Layer 1.
Monad Airdrop Release centers on a transparent distribution model tied directly to the launch of the Monad Public Mainnet. The release on November 24 finalized an airdrop process that began with claims collected between October 14 and November 3, ensuring all eligible participants received tokens only once the network was fully operational.
A total of 76,021 unique wallets claimed 3.33 billion MON, representing 70.4% of all eligible tokens and demonstrating strong community participation.
To ensure fairness and protect token flows, all claimed MON were deposited into an escrow smart contract on November 9. This precaution aligned the airdrop with mainnet readiness and prevented early circulation that might affect token dynamics.
Once mainnet launched, the smart contract automatically released tokens to their respective wallets. Unclaimed tokens from the 4.73 billion allocated pool will transition into future grants, ecosystem funding, and community growth programs.
The eligibility system spanned five major categories: Monad Community, Onchain Users, Crypto Community, Builders, and Crypto Contributors. The Monad Community track accounted for the highest engagement, with 1.665 billion MON claimed at a 99.7% rate.
Onchain Users claimed 699 million MON (41% rate), and Crypto Community participants claimed 635 million MON (70.8% rate). Builder allocations and contributor tracks further rewarded meaningful engagement, using sybil-resistant methods informed by data analytics and community validation tools.
By linking distribution to mainnet activation, the Monad Airdrop Release aligned incentives between token recipients and network growth. Parallel execution, high throughput (10,000 TPS), and 0.8-second finality make Monad a next-generation Layer 1, and the airdrop was structured to ensure tokens reach users positioned to build, govern, and participate actively.
The escrow-based release model also safeguarded fairness following the project’s highly successful Coinbase token sale, which raised $269 million from 85.8k participants worldwide.
