December 3, 2025 NEAR Protocol has taken a major step into privacy focused artificial intelligence with the launch of NEAR AI Cloud and Private Chat. The two products place user data protection at the center of their design. The initiative reflects growing demand for AI systems that keep information verifiable, confidential, and under the control of the user.
Built on privacy hardened hardware from Intel and NVIDIA, NEAR AI is already reaching more than 100 million users through live integrations. With AI models growing more powerful and more intrusive, NEAR positions its technology as a secure alternative to traditional cloud based AI systems that rely on opaque data handling.
NEAR AI Cloud introduces a privacy standard that isolates every AI computation inside sealed environments. The platform uses Intel TDX and NVIDIA Confidential Computing to run requests in protected enclaves. Each inference generates a cryptographic attestation, proving the model used the correct code without tampering.
This approach prevents unauthorized access even from infrastructure providers. Developers can deploy workloads using an OpenAI compatible API that supports streaming, caching, and persistence. Enterprise clients can opt for dedicated model hosting or custom configurations tailored for regulated sectors.
The cloud service is ideal for finance, healthcare, and any industry that demands strict data confidentiality.
Private Chat extends NEAR AI Cloud into a simple, intuitive user app. It allows users to ask questions, research topics, and explore ideas while keeping data private. Each chat runs inside the same sealed environment used by the cloud platform.
In a landscape where AI systems often collect sensitive information, Private Chat removes exposure risks. Conversations cannot be accessed or reconstructed outside the enclave. Early testers highlight the seamless interface, which hides the complex cryptographic processes that power the privacy layer.
Private Chat aligns with NEAR’s principle that users should own their AI and the data attached to it.

NEAR AI Cloud has moved beyond the experimental stage with live integrations powering major applications. These partners include:
These integrations demonstrate that NEAR AI Cloud is battle tested in real conditions. Partners have validated its performance under high traffic loads, strict latency demands, and regulatory requirements.
This production readiness places NEAR ahead of other privacy focused AI tools that remain in beta.
NEAR Protocol outlines a far reaching roadmap for the evolution of NEAR AI. Planned additions include multimodal models that support text, images, and audio. The team is also developing private portable memory that allows AI systems to learn user preferences without exposing data.
A key milestone will be the rollout of Decentralized Confidential Machine Learning. This framework aims to make verifiable privacy the default setting for all AI workloads, from casual conversations to enterprise operations.
NEAR expects these advancements to accelerate global adoption of privacy first AI with a potential price push for its token.
