Perena launches the Nest Vault on Solana, bringing tokenized private credit yields to DeFi and enabling users to earn.

6th March, 2026 – Perena, the Solana-native stablebank behind the fully collateralized, yield-bearing stablecoin USD*, has launched the Nest RWA Vault in partnership with Plume. The integration allocates part of USD* collateral to tokenized institutional assets, including private credit, adding about 9% APY from real world lending markets.
The yield is delivered to users through LayerZero with no bridges or off-ramping, while USD* remains fully on chain with the same security and liquidity.

Perena is a stablebank protocol built on Solana. It offers USD* (USD STAR), a fully collateralized digital dollar that earns yield. The protocol generates returns using on-chain strategies such as delta-neutral hedging and secured borrow-lend positions.
Now it is also adding real-world assets (RWAs) to the mix. This allows users to hold a liquid dollar asset that grows automatically, with yields currently around 9.8% APY, while remaining fully on-chain.
Nest Vault Launch
Perena has integrated Plume’s Nest, a protocol that distributes yield from tokenized institutional funds such as private credit across different blockchains. Through this integration, Perena launched the Nest RWA Vault on Solana. Part of the collateral backing USD* is now allocated to institutional assets selected by Nest. This allows users to earn yields from real-world lending markets while staying on-chain.

Key milestones in the development of Perena and the launch of the Nest RWA Vault
Perena says USD* will remain fully collateralized and redeemable even after adding RWAs. Only a portion of the backing is allocated to Nest curated assets, while the rest stays in existing on chain strategies to maintain liquidity and stability.
The team also hinted that more RWA strategies could be added in the future. As Plume expands its tokenized institutional funds and adds more chains, the yield sources available to USD* holders may grow over time.
Perena’s first post-launch collateral report. It should reveal the exact percentage of USD* allocated to Nest RWAs within 7 to 10 days.
USD* TVL and Nest Vault inflows. A higher supply could follow if the ~9% yield attracts new capital.
Plume Network announcements. New tokenized private credit funds or new chains could increase USD* yields.
