Poramin Insom is the founder of Firo (formerly Zcoin), a privacy-focused cryptocurrency launched in 2016. He holds a master’s degree in Security Informatics from Johns Hopkins University, where he worked on the Zerocoin protocol, which became the foundation of Firo. He also served in Thailand’s cyberwarfare unit.

Poramin led Firo to become the first cryptocurrency to implement Zerocoin and later developed advanced privacy tech like Lelantus. He also founded Satang, a regulated Thai crypto exchange, and helped run Thailand’s first blockchain-based political election. He is a well-known advocate for financial privacy and secure digital voting.
