August 8, 2025 –Pump.fun announces new initiative “Glass Full Foundation” amid falling revenues and rising competition in the Solana memecoin space.
Memecoin launchpad Pump.fun unveiled the Glass Full Foundation, a program designed to inject liquidity into emerging memecoins within its Solana-based ecosystem. The initiative aims to strengthen community engagement and provide momentum to tokens that show long-term potential.
The Glass Full Foundation (GFF) will prioritize what Pump.fun calls “diehard cults” highly active and loyal communities behind promising memecoins. Initial capital has already been allocated to several projects, with more funding expected in the future. However, the platform has not disclosed specific amounts or allocation strategies.
The goal is to provide these tokens with more stability and visibility in a highly volatile market, especially as daily token creation has slowed in recent months.
The new initiative follows a sharp downturn in Pump.fun’s performance. After raising an estimated $600 million in minutes during its PUMP token sale in July 2025, the platform’s revenue dropped dramatically from $137 million in January to around $20 million in July, according to DefiLlama.
Pump.fun is not only dealing with declining usage but also rising competition from platforms like LetsBonk.fun. In response, it has expanded to Ethereum layer-2 networks Base and Blast, and added features like:
Despite these updates, the platform is under ongoing scrutiny. Critics point to a high failure rate among tokens launched on Pump.fun with around 98% considered rug pulls or pump-and-dump schemes. Past allegations of insider activity and dumping also continue to tarnish its reputation.
Pump.fun is also dealing with legal issues. It faces a lawsuit in New York over alleged unregistered securities activity and continues to be restricted in the U.K. following a 2024 ban by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The launch of the Glass Full Foundation is Pump.fun’s boldest attempt yet to regain traction. Its success depends on transparent capital deployment, strong project selection, and the platform’s ability to rebuild trust amid rising skepticism and regulatory pressure.
If the initiative succeeds, it could mark a turning point not just for Pump.fun but also for community-driven memecoins on Solana.
