The ROVR staking platform is now officially live, marking a major step forward for the Solana-based DePIN project focused on real-time spatial data and AI training. The launch introduces a staking-to-device model that allows contributors to stake $ROVR tokens and access mapping hardware without upfront cash costs. By activating the ROVR platform, the network aims to accelerate global data collection for Spatial AI, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and intelligent transportation systems.
ROVR Network confirmed that the ROVR platform is fully operational, enabling contributors to stake $ROVR tokens in exchange for access to physical data-collection hardware. Instead of purchasing devices outright, users receive discount codes after staking, effectively reducing the capital barrier to participation.
The platform currently supports two devices. Contributors can stake approximately 18,000 $ROVR to access TarantulaX, an RTK GNSS device paired with smartphones. Advanced users can stake around 300,000 $ROVR to redeem LightCone, a high-end LiDAR system designed for detailed spatial mapping. Tokens are locked for one year, while contributors retain 100 percent of their earned mapping and mining rewards.

The ROVR platform directly addresses one of the biggest challenges in DePIN ecosystems: high hardware costs. By replacing upfront payments with staking commitments, ROVR lowers friction while ensuring contributors remain aligned with the network’s long-term success.
This structure encourages sustained participation, improves geographic data coverage, and helps the network expand into underserved regions. Because rewards are not locked, contributors maintain flexibility while still committing to the protocol through staking. The result is a stronger incentive alignment between the network, token holders, and data providers.
ROVR is a Solana-based decentralized physical infrastructure network focused on building centimeter-accurate, real-time 3D maps for Spatial AI. Its data supports use cases across autonomous driving, robotics, smart cities, and intelligent transportation systems.
Contributors collect data by driving with ROVR devices, earning $ROVR tokens based on distance traveled, data quality, and coverage uniqueness. The project has raised $2.6 million in seed funding, led by Borderless Capital and GEODNET, and partners with GEODNET to provide precise positioning infrastructure.
The ROVR staking platform strengthens the model by equipping contributors with the right tools and aligning them economically for long-term participation.
To participate, users connect a Solana wallet such as Phantom to app.rovr.network and stake the required amount of $ROVR. Tokens remain locked for one year, and early unlocks or inactivity may result in deductions. Importantly, staking does not generate yield on the tokens themselves.
Instead, value comes from active participation. Contributors keep all mapping and mining rewards generated during the staking period. Devices are expected to begin shipping around January 15, 2026, allowing the ROVR staking platform to transition smoothly from staking to large-scale deployment.
With the ROVR staking platform now live, the network enters a new growth phase focused on scaling coverage and strengthening its global “world model” for AI training. Community dashboards already track progress, and ongoing contributions continue to enhance spatial intelligence quality.
