Solana Begins Shipping Seeker Mobile Device in Over 50 Countries

August 5, 2025 — Solana Mobile has officially started shipping its second-generation crypto phone, Seeker, to users in over 50 countries. The device has already racked up more than 150,000 pre-orders, signaling a stronger market response compared to the first-gen Saga.

Solana’s Seeker Pushes Web3 Mobile Boundaries

The Seeker device integrates a number of onchain-first features, including the Seed Vault, a secure hardware layer that separates private keys and seed phrases from the application layer offering enhanced security for crypto users.

Solana Mobile general manager Emmett Hollyer emphasized that while Seeker brings significant hardware upgrades, its true innovation lies in its decentralized Web3 integrations.

TEEPIN Architecture for Decentralized Mobile Infrastructure

At the heart of the Seeker is TEEPIN—Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network. This new architecture decentralizes key components of the mobile ecosystem, including app distribution and device-level permissions.

The system leverages verified software and network Guardians to cryptographically prove the legitimacy of each device, creating a secure and censorship-resistant platform for dApps.

Alternative App Store, Crypto-Native Experience

Developers using the Seeker can publish applications on an open app store, avoiding the 15–30% fees imposed by centralized platforms like Apple and Google. For crypto users, Seeker aims to offer a native experience for DeFi, NFTs, and Web3 gaming.

This move comes as Apple faces increased scrutiny and legal setbacks over its app store restrictions, creating opportunities for decentralized alternatives like Solana Mobile.

$67.5M Projected Revenue from Seeker Sales

The Seeker is priced between $450 and $500, and with over 150,000 units sold, Solana Mobile expects to earn at least $67.5 million. This is a significant leap from the performance of the previous Saga phone, which sold only 20,000 units.
