The Solana launch follows Starknet’s December 2025 integration with NEAR Intents, which connected Starknet to roughly 25 other chains. That integration allowed users to swap over 100 assets, including SOL, directly into the Starknet STRK token using simple intent-based execution.

By removing complex bridging steps, it simplified cross-chain access and improved the user experience.

The January 2026 Solana expansion reverses this flow. Instead of moving Solana assets to Starknet, STRK itself now exists natively on Solana. This marks the first direct presence of the token in Solana’s DeFi ecosystem.

The December 2025 Starknet-NEAR launch generated excitement in the market. NEAR climbed around 7 percent despite broader market softness, fueled by enthusiasm over simplified multichain swaps and high trading volume on the Intents platform.

STRK experienced less immediate price movement but gained increased utility and attention. Early signs from the January 2026 Solana launch point to a similar trend.

How the Starknet Solana Integration Works

NEAR Protocol’s intent-based system allows users to express simple goals, such as swapping SOL for STRK, while a network of solvers executes the cross-chain transaction behind the scenes.

This setup allows direct deposits and withdrawals of STRK into Solana wallets without any wrappers or intermediaries. Users can also trade STRK with one-click swaps across more than 125 assets from multiple chains, benefiting from fast and efficient execution on Solana’s high-throughput network.

As a result, STRK can now be traded instantly on DEXs like Jupiter or used for liquidity provision and swaps on platforms such as Meteora. The integration creates unified liquidity between Starknet and Solana, making access smoother for traders, liquidity providers, and casual users alike.
