September 11, 2025 — The STBL stablecoin protocol, co-founded by Tether co-founder Reeve Collins and Avtar Sehra of Libre Finance, is set to make its market debut on Binance Alpha on September 13. Designed to let users mint stablecoins without giving up yield on their collateral, the protocol introduces an innovative dual-asset model that could reshape the $19.3 trillion stablecoin sector.
The protocol is built to solve a core issue in traditional stablecoins: lost yield. Its system pairs USST, a stablecoin for daily transactions, with YLD, a non-fungible token representing rights to collateral yield. Unlike USDT or USDC, where issuers keep yield from reserves, STBL redistributes it back to users.
To enhance stability, the STBL stablecoin protocol is backed by tokenized real-world assets, including instruments from Franklin Templeton and Ondo. This approach aligns with the booming RWA tokenization market, which surpassed $10 billion earlier this year.
STBL’s official debut will take place on Binance Alpha, where it will be the first platform to feature the token. The listing signals strong institutional confidence and provides early users access to the protocol before broader rollout on other centralized and decentralized exchanges.
