Tectum has successfully launched its Blockchain 4.0 mainnet, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of decentralized networks. The launch follows weeks of rigorous testing on the testnet, ensuring its robustness and efficiency. This version of the blockchain will operate in tandem with the Tectum Node 4.0, enhancing the ecosystemâs functionality and security.
The Tectum Blockchain 4.0 mainnet consists of three essential components, each playing a crucial role in ensuring seamless transactions and data integrity:
Individuals and corporations who stake Tectum Emission Tokens (TET) gain access to the validator functions of the network. These Node Validators play a critical role in validating transactions, similar to traditional blockchain miners but without the need for expensive hardware or high energy consumption.
Functioning akin to airport security, Node Validators perform the initial transaction checks, ensuring all necessary clearances are met before allowing transactions to proceed.
Node Archivers serve as an additional verification layer, authenticating transactions that have already been validated by the Node Validators. In the airport security analogy, Node Archivers act like Immigration and Customs, double-checking documents and tagging transactions for further processing.
Beyond authentication, Node Archivers also calculate rewards for network participants. Validators receive their commissions for transaction validation, while Key Archivers earn their share for data storage and maintenance.
The Key Archiver serves as the final stage of a blockchain transaction, permanently storing validated transactions on the blockchain. Unlike Node Validators and Node Archivers, Key Archivers do not validate or authenticate transactions; instead, they ensure transaction history is securely recorded.
Continuing the airport security analogy, the Key Archiver functions like a luggage loader, ensuring all baggage (transactions) is placed onto the plane (blockchain) and accounted for in a manifest.
The Tectum Blockchain 4.0 mainnet optimizes transaction validation through an efficient and layered verification system:
Additionally, as a final security measure, all Node Validators receive updated blockchain versions and perform checks for inconsistencies. They will not update their blockchain records unless a valid update is confirmed, ensuring network integrity.
With the successful rollout of Tectum Blockchain 4.0, users can now experience a highly secure, efficient, and decentralized transaction process. The innovative three-tiered system â comprising Validators, Archivers, and Key Archiversâensures seamless transaction validation, authentication, and storage.
This advancement aligns with Tectumâs vision of providing a next-generation blockchain network, leveraging efficiency and security to drive widespread adoption in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.
