26th December 2025 – A confirmed Trust Wallet security incident has rattled crypto users. Reports first surfaced when users noticed their funds disappearing within minutes. Soon after, warnings spread across social media. Then Trust Wallet stepped in and confirmed the issue.
Trust Wallet identified the issue inside its browser extension. Specifically, version 2.68 contains the vulnerability. The team urged affected users to immediately disable it and install version 2.69 from the official Chrome Web Store.
Mobile users and people running other extension versions remain unaffected. However, uncertainty still hangs over the situation because Trust Wallet has not yet explained how the exploit works or how long attackers may have had access.
As a result, many users continue to feel uneasy.
The first warnings came from the community. On-chain analysts noticed suspicious outflows from multiple wallets. Victims shared screenshots showing unauthorized withdrawals. Transaction logs showed automated drains instead of manual transfers.
