File Retrieval: When retrieving a file, the shards are downloaded in parallel from the network and decrypted locally by the user’s device, resulting in fast and secure file access.
Node Operators and Incentives: Anyone can become a node operator by offering unused hard drive space and bandwidth. In return, they are paid in STORJ tokens for storing and serving data reliably.
