Iridia partnered with Arweave, the ASI Alliance, and LifeShip to launch a molecular data archive and digital assets to the Moon. This initiative aims to preserve crucial information and assets for millennia.
The payload includes the Arweave Genesis Block, ASI ($FET) tokens, and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum. Iridia encoded the data using synthetic DNA technology, shielded with advanced nanotechnology for durability in the Moon’s stable environment.
“This mission shows molecular data storage can preserve knowledge far into the future,” said Buck Watia, Iridia’s VP of Product. Sam Williams of Arweave called it “a groundbreaking milestone in permanent data storage.” Trent McConaghy of Ocean Protocol highlighted the importance of decentralization for humanity’s expansion into space.
Iridia’s molecular storage offers high data density and minimal energy use, while Arweave ensures immutable, decentralized records. Together with ASI’s AI protocols, these technologies showcase advanced collaboration for long-term preservation.
This lunar mission represents a historic effort to safeguard human innovation and push the boundaries of blockchain and AI technologies.
