CARV and Sei Network announced a new initiative they say will support 40 game studios building on Sei’s high-performance blockchain. According to the teams, the initiative will focus on user acquisition, engagement, and cross-game experiences within Web3 gaming through the CARV Protocol.
CARV Protocol to Enhance Gaming Experiences
CARV claims its platform will provide essential tools like CARV Play and Infinite Play to attract and engage players more effectively. Additionally, the integration of CARV ID will, according to CARV, streamline cross-platform identity management, allowing players to carry in-game progress across multiple titles. CARV COO Victor Yu emphasized that their tools are designed to provide meaningful player connections and personalized recommendations for developers on Sei’s blockchain.
Sei’s Parallel EVM and Development Potential
Sei Network, known for its speed, recently launched an update it describes as the first parallelized EVM. This update reportedly merges the development standard of Ethereum with Solana’s high throughput, which the team believes will allow for greater scalability. Jason Lim, Sei’s Global Gaming Lead, stated that CARV’s involvement will provide additional resources for game developers utilizing Sei’s platform.
Cross-Platform Identity and Reward Campaigns
The CARV team reports that Infinite Play will tailor game recommendations to individual player preferences, supporting user retention in Sei’s ecosystem. CARV Play will also enable studios to design on-chain reward campaigns to attract and reward players. CARV ID’s cross-game identity feature, the team claims, will help players maintain achievements across games, aiming to build retention and player loyalty.
Broader Vision for Web3 and Web2 Gaming
CARV says its mission includes bridging Web2 and Web3 gaming, aiming to provide necessary infrastructure and data insights for effective player retention. With backing from investors like Tribe Capital and Animoca Brands, CARV reports that it now serves over 9.5 million registered players and integrates more than 900 games.
About Sei and CARV
Sei Network, a Layer 1 blockchain, aims to merge Ethereum’s standard with Solana’s speed, with support from investors like Coinbase Ventures. CARV, meanwhile, reports that it supports over 30% of Web3 games, with a team comprising veterans from major tech companies. Together, the companies say they are committed to advancing the tools game developers need to succeed in a competitive landscape.
