4th November 2025 – Crypto.com revealed a strategic partnership with Hollywood.com to launch a prediction market tailored for entertainment fans. This marks a major expansion of prediction-based trading into film, music, and television.
The new platform will allow users to speculate on real-world entertainment outcomes. This includes movies, TV shows, Broadway productions, musicians, and award ceremonies. Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a regulated exchange and clearinghouse under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission will power the event contracts.
With this move, Hollywood.com becomes the first major entertainment platform to adopt regulated crypto-based prediction markets. As prices adjust in real time, users can respond instantly to entertainment headlines.
Mitchell Rubenstein, co-CEO of Hollywood.com, emphasized the appeal of this idea. “Prediction markets thrive because people love trading on future events,” he said. “Now we’re giving entertainment fans a way to participate in that; legally and with impact.”
Meanwhile, Crypto.com’s Travis McGhee echoed the excitement. “Entertainment fans are among the most passionate audiences. With this platform, we’re offering them a new legal tool to engage, powered by a brand they already trust.”

This partnership follows a broader wave of interest in prediction markets across politics, crypto, and sports. Recently, Crypto.com also partnered with Trump Media & Technology Group to build Truth Predict – a political prediction market tied to the Truth Social platform.
Simultaneously, platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi have reported surging volumes and billion-dollar valuations. Kalshi, in particular, has gained attention from venture capital firms, while Polymarket is considering a U.S. return to focus on sports betting.
Even MoviePass recently joined the trend. It launched “Mogul,” a box office prediction game. Unlike Crypto.com’s real-money offering, Mogul operates more like a fantasy league with prize pools rather than wagers.
This collaboration could legitimize real-money prediction markets in entertainment, a sector historically untouched by financial betting platforms. Moreover, by using a CFTC-registered exchange, Crypto.com ensures regulatory compliance, a key factor as the U.S. market tightens oversight.
In short, prediction markets are maturing. They are no longer confined to politics and finance. Entertainment is next and Hollywood.com is placing its bet.
