Folks Finance, a cross-chain DeFi protocol is launching the $FOLKS token on 6th November 2025 across 8 chains including Algorand.

5th Nov 2025 – Folks Finance, a cross-chain DeFi protocol backed by major investors including Coinbase Ventures, Jump Crypto, and ParaFi, will officially launch its native token, $FOLKS, on November 6, 2025. The launch marks a significant milestone in the project’s effort to unify decentralized finance across multiple blockchains.
$FOLKS will go live on Binance Alpha at 12:00 UTC, followed by a 50x FOLKSUSDT perpetual contract launch on Binance Futures at 12:30 UTC. Binance users who participated in the Alpha Points program can also claim exclusive airdrops starting at the same time.
Notably, $FOLKS is launching as a native cross-chain token using Wormhole NTT, allowing seamless functionality across eight different blockchains without wrapping or bridging.
Since its inception in 2021, Folks Finance has evolved into a robust DeFi ecosystem. It currently supports lending, borrowing, and asset management across nine chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Optimism, and Avalanche. With over 200,000 active wallets and a peak TVL of $400 million, the protocol has already gained meaningful traction.
The $FOLKS token now becomes the coordination layer for Folks’ expanding ecosystem. According to CEO Benedetto Biondi, “FOLKS is the core layer connecting our crosschain ecosystem. This listing expands access, visibility, and participation for users globally.”
