Steady attention without excessive speculation.
March 13, 2026 — GEODNET launches GEO-SWARM, an autonomous drone security system designed for residential property surveillance, through a new Kickstarter campaign. The launch quickly attracted strong interest, with the campaign surpassing its $20,000 funding goal within days. The project introduces a drone-in-a-box system that can autonomously patrol properties, stream live aerial footage, and return to a charging dock without manual control. The device uses GEODNET’s Real-Time Kinematic positioning network to deliver centimeter-level navigation accuracy.

@GEODNET The demo I saw in person was great . Happy to see this going live now with preorders
🚁 It’s LIVE - GEO-SWARM just launched on Kickstarter. A fully autonomous drone-in-a-box security system that deploys, patrols, docks, and recharges on its own. Back the future of home security now: https://t.co/OylrUDFzk5 https://t.co/9J0firEfeT

GEODNET is a decentralized physical infrastructure network focused on building a global Real-Time Kinematic network for precise positioning. Founded in 2021, the project operates a distributed system of satellite reference stations that correct GNSS signals affected by atmospheric interference.
The network currently includes more than 21,000 stations across over 150 countries. These stations are operated by participants who contribute hardware and receive incentives through the GEOD token.
This infrastructure enables positioning accuracy at the centimeter level, compared with standard GPS accuracy that typically ranges between several feet. The technology has been used across sectors such as agriculture, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and drone navigation.
GEODNET has also formed partnerships with companies including DroneDeploy, Quectel, and John Deere to integrate its positioning services into commercial applications.
The GEODNET GEO-SWARM Kickstarter campaign launched on March 10, 2026, with an initial funding goal of $20,000. Within a few days, the campaign raised more than ~$94,000, reaching over 400 percent of its target.
The all-or-nothing campaign will remain open until April 11, 2026. Early supporters have been offered discounted pricing before the product’s public release.
The campaign includes several reward tiers for backers. A single GEO-SWARM unit with docking station is offered at $1,699, representing a discounted price compared with the expected retail value.
A bundle package with two drones is also available for $3,399. Deliveries for the first production batch are estimated to begin in January 2027.

As GEODNET launches GEO-SWARM, the system introduces a consumer-focused autonomous drone security platform. The drone operates from a docking station that stores and recharges the device when not in use. Users can deploy the drone to patrol a property automatically without needing piloting experience.
The drone captures live aerial video while navigating using GPS combined with RTK positioning signals. After completing a patrol route, the device returns to the docking station where it recharges.
Pre-production specifications suggest a flight time of around 20 minutes per mission. The drone weighs under 250 grams, which allows it to operate within lightweight drone regulations in many regions.
HYFIX Spatial Intelligence, a company specializing in positioning technology and drone systems, is developing the hardware platform.
GEODNET has expanded rapidly since its launch, with infrastructure deployed across more than 150 countries.
The project reported annualized recurring revenue of more than $7.6 million generated from enterprise customers using its RTK positioning services. These services provide a lower-cost alternative to traditional GNSS correction networks.
Funding milestones for the project include a strategic investment round in February 2025 led by Multicoin Capital. The round brought total funding raised by the project to approximately $15 million.
The GEO-SWARM launch represents an effort by GEODNET to extend its positioning technology beyond enterprise use cases and into consumer hardware products.
