Monad Airdrop Claim Portal Goes Live

October 14, 2025 – Monad Foundation has opened the MON airdrop claim portal at 13:00 UTC today, moving its high-throughput Layer-1 closer to mainnet. The site – claim.monad.xyz lets more than 230,000 eligible users verify and queue allocations ahead of the Token Generation Event. The rollout follows weeks of teasers and heavy X/Discord buzz, with Monad pitching itself as an Ethereum-compatible chain targeting ~10,000 TPS, one-second blocks, and near-zero fees via parallel execution.

Eligibility & Mechanics

The drop spans five tracks. Monad Community covers ~5,500 core users, including “Monad Cards” nominees and Discord role holders. On-chain Users (≈225,000 wallets) include DEX traders, specific NFT minters, and holders of the “1 Million Nads” SBT. Crypto Community recognizes active X/Telegram contributors and partner ecosystems. Crypto Contributors & Curious targets open-source devs and educators. Finally, Monad Builders (~1,000–2,000) includes validators, testnet explorers, and dApp teams.

Multi-qualifiers stack rewards, so deeper participation earns more MON. However, strict Sybil filters have excluded some high-activity testnet addresses, fueling debates over fairness. Even so, the Foundation says the design aims to seed “people who eat, sleep, and breathe crypto.” A full reveal event is slated for October 28, with optional early allocation previews.

How to Claim (and Stay Safe)

Claims use Privy for authentication. Users sign with EVM or Solana wallets (MetaMask/Rabby supported). For safety, switch to Monad testnet before signing. Importantly, there are no seed-phrase requests, no rush bonuses, and no early unlocks—so urgency is a red flag. The claim window runs through November 3. Co-founder Keone Hon cautioned users to triple-check URLs, as fake domains have already appeared. Brief Privy slowdowns from traffic spikes have been resolved.

Market Context & Outlook

Distribution begins at TGE alongside mainnet, likely in late Q4 2025. Meanwhile, pre-market quotes on perps venues have flagged indicative pricing near $0.069 per MON on a 100B supply, implying $6.9–$12B FDV on early chatter. Backed by Paradigm’s $225M (2024) and led by ex-Jump Trading engineers, Monad is pitching a parallel-processing play to lure DeFi, perps venues, and NFT projects seeking speed.

If successful, the airdrop should seed users, catalyze dApp migrations, and test Sybil resistance at scale. For the eligible, it’s a front-row seat to a high-speed L1 bet. For everyone else, caution and careful URL checks remain the day-one rule.
