Tectum has officially launched the Beta version of its SoftNote Pay ePoS app, allowing its community to test before launching the main app.

September 17 – Tectum has officially launched the Beta version of its SoftNote Pay ePoS app, bringing crypto-based payment processing into real-world environments. The beta went live on September 17, 2025, and is now available for community testing. At this stage, the app can only be installed via an Android APK download. iOS support has not been announced yet.
SoftNote Pay is Tectum’s crypto payment solution that enables businesses to accept instant, fee-minimized payments using Bitcoin ($BTC), Tectum’s native $TET token, and other digital assets. It leverages Tectum’s SoftNote protocol, a Layer-2 innovation that skips traditional transaction mechanisms by transferring wallet ownership instead of tokens. This approach eliminates network congestion, reduces user costs to zero, and even allows for offline payments secured by unique PINs.
The SoftNote Pay ePoS system turns ordinary Android devices into merchant-friendly crypto payment terminals. Designed to handle micro and macro payments with ease, it aims to become the fastest and most scalable crypto payment system in the world.
The current beta includes several core functionalities:
Interested users can join the beta by downloading the APK from Tectum’s official announcement. After installing, merchants can register and begin testing immediately using $TET. Feedback is actively being gathered in Tectum’s Telegram community, where users can share bug reports and feature suggestions.
Early adopters, the first 1,000 businesses – will benefit from 12 months of zero merchant fees upon full release.
Tectum plans to release the full version of SoftNote Pay ePoS by late 2025 or early 2026. The main release will integrate broader ecosystem support, stability improvements, and advanced features for both users and developers.
Tectum’s vision is to make Bitcoin usable as global cash, not just a store of value. The SoftNote Pay ePoS app addresses real-world limitations in current crypto payment systems, such as slow speeds, high fees, and internet dependency.
