Trump holds 15.75 billion governance tokens in the project. These tokens grant him voting rights and likely contributed to the income he reported. While the filing doesn’t specify how he made the money, the amount suggests he earned it through a mix of token sales or staking rewards.

World Liberty Financial raised $550 million from token sales

World Liberty Financial began in September 2024 with a focus on DeFi and dollar-pegged stablecoins. It aims to compete with the traditional banking system.

By March 2025, the project had raised a total of $550 million:

• $200 million in its first public token sale
• $250 million in a second round

Crypto leaders joined the effort. Justin Sun invested $30 million for 2 billion WLFI tokens in November 2024. Web3Port added $10 million in January, and Oddiyana Ventures joined as a strategic partner.

Trump crypto income highlights his digital investments

Trump’s disclosure also shows his continued presence in the digital asset world. Past filings included income from his NFT collections. However, this time there were no new earnings from NFTs.

He still owns stakes in CIC Digital LLC and CIC Ventures LLC. These companies are linked to digital projects, but he earns little or no income from them.

The filing includes his official statement certifying the data as accurate. The Office of Government Ethics will review it.
