19th January 2026– TRON’s largest decentralized stablecoin has strengthened its core infrastructure. USDD confirmed that it now relies exclusively on Chainlink Price Feeds for pricing data. This update matters because oracle reliability directly impacts stablecoin safety and user trust. As USDD adopts Chainlink, it reinforces price accuracy and consistency across TRON, Ethereum, and BNB Chain.
High Signal Summary For A Quick Glance
This move builds on TRON’s broader effort to strengthen its DeFi infrastructure. In October 2024, TRON DAO joined the Chainlink Scale program, which laid the groundwork for deeper oracle integration. Subsequently, by May 2025, TRON completed a full transition to Chainlink Data Feeds and ended its reliance on WINkLink.
As a result, the network secured more than $5.5 billion in DeFi TVL across major protocols such as JustLend and JustStable. During this period, USDD already benefited from improved oracle quality at the ecosystem level. However, the January 2026 update takes this strategy further by designating Chainlink as the sole pricing source for USDD across multiple blockchains.
Importantly, this announcement does not introduce a new partnership. Instead, it deepens an existing relationship that already proved effective. When TRON completed its oracle upgrade in 2025, DeFi activity increased while USDD maintained a stable peg near $1.00. Since then, liquidity and adoption have continued to grow, enabling USDD to surpass $1 billion in TVL in early 2026.
Key milestones related to this development
TRON DAO partners with Chainlink to begin upgrading oracle infrastructure.
TRON fully transitions to Chainlink Data Feeds, replacing WINkLink and securing billions in DeFi TVL.
USDD holds near $1.00 stability as DeFi activity and liquidity expand across the TRON ecosystem.
Adoption grows as USDD expands across multiple chains and DeFi use cases.
USDD standardizes on Chainlink Price Feeds across TRON, Ethereum, and BNB Chain for consistent pricing.
Stablecoins depend on accurate and tamper-resistant pricing to operate safely. When USDD adopts Chainlink, it gains decentralized price feeds aggregated from multiple independent data providers. Consequently, the system reduces manipulation risk and avoids single points of failure.
At the same time, using a single oracle standard eliminates inconsistencies that often appear in multi-chain environments. With verified pricing on TRON, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, USDD can support lending, trading, and payments more reliably. Therefore, developers and users gain stronger confidence in USDD’s behavior across ecosystems.
This update arrives as the stablecoin sector continues to expand rapidly. In early 2026, total stablecoin market capitalization exceeded $310 billion, driven by higher on-chain activity and institutional participation. As capital flows across multiple blockchains, consistent data standards have become increasingly important.
At the same time, similar integrations highlight an industry-wide shift. For example, Ripple integrated Chainlink for RLUSD in 2025 to support secure pricing on Ethereum. Within TRON’s ecosystem, which already processes large stablecoin volumes, this development further improves interoperability and infrastructure reliability. Over time, these upgrades help establish stronger foundations for on-chain finance.

@chainlink @usddio @BNBCHAIN @ethereum @trondao This integration transforms USDD from a 'Tron-exclusive' stablecoin into a global DeFi asset with a gold-standard data security certificate, increasing its chances of widespread adoption across multiple blockchain networks."
@chainlink @usddio @BNBCHAIN @ethereum @trondao Oracle infrastructure decisions like this matter more than most realize. USDD's move to Chainlink across three chains shows the real demand for reliable price feeds in DeFi. We've integrated similar setups for stablecoin projects.
@chainlink @usddio @BNBCHAIN @ethereum @trondao With stablecoins, the upgrade point is often the oracle layer: price inputs standardize, cross-chain references align, and settlement logic relies less on bespoke feeds. Data hygiene precedes scale.
