Evan Duffield is the creator of Dash, a decentralized digital currency designed for fast, low-cost payments and user privacy. He launched Dash (originally named XCoin and later Darkcoin) in 2014 with a focus on improving Bitcoin’s usability for everyday transactions through features like instant confirmations and optional transaction privacy.

Duffield engineered Dash’s governance and funding model, introducing a self-funding treasury and masternode network to support decentralized decision-making and development.
