Guy Young is the founder and CEO of Ethena Labs, the team behind the synthetic dollar stablecoin USDe. With nearly a decade of experience in traditional finance—including roles at Cerberus Capital Management—he launched Ethena in 2023 to create a yield-bearing, decentralized dollar alternative not reliant on banks.

Under his leadership, Ethena has grown rapidly, with USDe surpassing billions in supply and TVL, and expanded into products like USDtb (backed by BlackRock’s tokenized fund) and iUSDe for institutions. Young’s vision focuses on bridging traditional finance with DeFi by building compliant, scalable infrastructure that enables both retail and institutional access to on-chain dollars with yield.
