October 25, 2025 – In a major step toward merging social media and decentralized finance, Rumble Inc. has partnered with Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, to launch Bitcoin tipping for its 51 million monthly users. Announced by CEO Chris Pavlovski at the Plan ₿ Forum in Switzerland, the feature lets viewers send BTC or USDT tips directly to creators through an in-app wallet, bypassing ads, banks, and platform cuts.
The rollout begins mid-December 2025, marking a milestone in Rumble’s bid to challenge YouTube’s dominance.
Following the announcement, Rumble’s stock (RUM) rose 8% intraday as traders bet on a rebound in user monetization. The news spread rapidly across X and Telegram, with creators praising the shift toward instant, borderless payments.
Pavlovski framed the feature as a statement of independence:
“This is about giving power back to the people who make the content. No middlemen, no delays, just direct rewards.”
The integration, built with MoonPay, will first support Bitcoin and USDT, later expanding to Lightning Network microtransactions. With 80 million videos uploaded monthly, Rumble’s move could capture creators frustrated by YouTube’s 45% ad cut, further energizing the $200 billion creator economy.
Not everyone is convinced. Skeptics highlight Bitcoin’s price swings, up 120% year-over-year but prone to steep pullbacks—as potential deterrents to casual users. Others point to Tether’s ongoing reserve transparency issues, with regulators still demanding fuller disclosures of its $120 billion backing. Critics also warn that crypto tipping could complicate tax reporting and cross-border compliance.
Despite concerns, analysts say Rumble’s decision could strengthen crypto’s case for mainstream payment adoption, especially as stablecoins become more integrated into global finance.

The tipping feature is designed to blend decentralized finance with creator autonomy. Rumble creators already enjoy a 70/30 revenue split, far higher than YouTube’s. Adding direct Bitcoin and USDT payments could attract influencers from TikTok and Twitch, where monetization remains tightly controlled.
Tether’s spokesperson called the collaboration “a revolution in creator payments,” while Rumble confirmed holding 210 BTC (≈$23.4M), showing long-term commitment to crypto integration. With expansion plans targeting Latin America and Africa, where crypto remittances thrive, Rumble may find fertile ground for adoption.
