SingularityNET, the decentralized AI platform, announced its integration of Filecoin using Lighthouse, marking the first phase in a broader effort to secure decentralized storage solutions for AI development. In July 2024, SingularityNET and Filecoin Foundation confirmed a partnership aimed at aligning AI and DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network) goals. Both organizations, alongside data onboarding provider Lighthouse, have worked together to incorporate Filecoinâs permanent storage capabilities within SingularityNETâs AI tools. This first integration stage brings Python SDK, Command Line Interface (CLI), and Daemon into SingularityNETâs ecosystem, with plans to expand support to JavaScript SDK, Text User Interface (TUI), Publisher Portal, and Marketplace in the coming months. Lighthouseâs storage infrastructure, built on Filecoin and IPFS, offers decentralized data permanence tailored to SingularityNETâs need for scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security.
