Jack Mallers is the founder and CEO of Strike, a Bitcoin payments platform built on the Lightning Network. Coming from a finance background in Chicago, Mallers dropped out of college to pursue software development and Bitcoin full-time. He first created Zap, a Lightning wallet, before launching Strike in 2020 to enable fast, low-cost global payments using Bitcoin infrastructure—without requiring users to hold crypto.
Mallers played a key role in El Salvador’s adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender and has partnered Strike with major companies like Shopify and NCR. In 2025, he co-founded Twenty One Capital, a Bitcoin-native public firm backed by institutions like Tether and SoftBank. Widely regarded as a Bitcoin advocate, Mallers continues to push for open, decentralized financial systems.
