June 4, 2025 – A representative of the Trump Organization has publicly distanced the group from the “$TRUMP Wallet” project, just hours after Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu announced a partnership to launch the branded crypto app.
The wallet, created in collaboration with GetTrumpMemes.com, claims to offer users the ability to hold and trade digital assets, and includes a waitlist with the promise of up to $1 million in $TRUMP token rewards.
However, Trump’s camp has made it clear: they did not authorize the initiative.
According to the Trump Organization’s spokesperson, the group “knows nothing” about the wallet or its development, despite its overt use of the president’s name and branding. The app’s website explicitly describes it as the “official $TRUMP Wallet by President Trump”, a claim now thrown into doubt.
The wallet includes no technical documentation or product roadmap, yet it aggressively promotes its referral-based sweepstakes, offering progressively higher odds of winning TRUMP token rewards for those who bring in new users.
Magic Eden, one of the most prominent NFT marketplaces, appeared to validate the wallet’s legitimacy when its CEO confirmed the partnership on X (formerly Twitter). The crypto platform has yet to respond to the Trump Organization’s statement, leaving questions about the nature of the collaboration.
In a parallel development, Donald Trump Jr. released a statement clarifying that neither he nor his father was involved in the wallet project. He revealed that he and Eric Trump have instead been building a different, official crypto venture called World Liberty Financial.
Describing the platform as something they’ve been developing “tirelessly,” Trump Jr. advised supporters to remain cautious and wait for official communications from the Trump family.
This isn’t the first time the Trump name has been tied to crypto projects. In recent months, a stablecoin initiative and multiple memecoins including Trump Coin and Melania Coin have circulated in the market—some with minimal oversight or direct association to the family.
With Trump’s renewed political presence and rising crypto visibility, the controversy surrounding the wallet raises broader concerns about brand misuse, investor trust, and regulatory oversight.
As of now, the status of the $TRUMP Wallet remains unclear. The Trump Organization’s disavowal and Trump Jr.’s warning both cast serious doubt on its legitimacy. For now, supporters and investors are advised to stay alert, avoid unofficial apps, and wait for transparent confirmation from the Trump family regarding any upcoming crypto ventures.
