December 2025 — Zebec Network has reached a major milestone by officially achieving ISO 20022 compliance, positioning itself among a growing but still limited group of blockchain projects aligned with global financial messaging standards. The move strengthens Zebec’s role as a compliant, real-time payments and payroll infrastructure built for both crypto-native users and traditional institutions. The team had teased about the possibility of the compliance in November 2025
As regulatory scrutiny intensifies and interoperability becomes a priority, ISO 20022 compliance signals maturity. For Zebec, it also unlocks direct alignment with banks, enterprises, and payment networks that rely on standardized, data-rich financial messaging.
Zebec Network focuses on real-time, programmable payments, enabling continuous payroll, streaming salaries, invoice settlements, and subscription payments directly on-chain. Originally built on Solana, the protocol has expanded into a multichain architecture while maintaining fast settlement and low-cost execution.
Throughout 2025, Zebec upgraded its fiat payroll rails to meet institutional standards. These upgrades included tighter compliance controls, enhanced reporting, and integrations with legacy payment systems such as ACH, allowing businesses to pay employees in both fiat and crypto without settlement delays.
At the same time, Zebec strengthened its security posture through certifications like SOC 2, improving trust for enterprise users. These changes pushed Zebec beyond a typical crypto payroll tool and closer to a hybrid financial infrastructure.
Zebec’s ISO 20022 journey accelerated after its June 2025 acquisition of Gatenox, a firm specializing in compliance and financial messaging standards. This acquisition gave Zebec direct access to ISO-native infrastructure, enabling structured transaction data, improved reconciliation, and reduced error rates.
By December, Zebec fully embedded ISO 20022 message formats across its payroll and payments stack. As a result, transactions now carry richer metadata, making them compatible with banking systems, auditors, and compliance teams.
Following the announcement, Zebec’s native token ZBCN was added to CoinMarketCap’s ISO 20022-compliant token list. This recognition places Zebec among projects actively preparing for institutional integration rather than operating in parallel to it.

ISO 20022 is the global standard for financial messaging. It replaces fragmented legacy formats with structured, machine-readable data that improves transparency, compliance, and interoperability.
For crypto projects, this matters for three reasons:
First, ISO 20022 enables direct compatibility with banks and payment processors, removing friction at the crypto-fiat boundary.
Second, it reduces operational risk by improving auditability and transaction clarity.
Third, it future-proofs infrastructure as major payment systems migrate fully to ISO standards by late 2025.
Projects that fail to adapt risk exclusion from regulated financial flows. Zebec’s early compliance positions it ahead of that curve.
